Develop From a Physical Sample
For a new vehicle-specific exhaust product, a physical sample is often the most practical reference.
An exhaust system depends on more than overall dimensions. Pipe routing, bends, flange position, hanger location, connection points and clearances can all affect fitment.
With a complete sample, our engineering and production teams can evaluate the construction and determine how the product can be reproduced.
Develop From Drawings or CAD Files
We can also evaluate new products from detailed drawings or CAD files.
The technical information needs to be sufficient for manufacturing. If special fixtures or tooling are required, this will be evaluated before sample production.
A product idea or reference picture can help us understand the project, but it is normally not enough to accurately manufacture a new vehicle-specific exhaust system.

What Matters Most in Exhaust Manufacturing?
For a B2B buyer, a good-looking sample is only the beginning. The production order needs to remain consistent with the approved product.
Material
Material should be confirmed according to the actual product specification.
T304 stainless steel is available for many performance exhaust applications. Other material options can be evaluated according to the product, target market and price level.
The important point is to agree on the material specification before production rather than simply use the general description “stainless steel.”
Welding and Construction
TIG welding is available where required by the product specification.
Weld appearance is important, but for a vehicle-specific exhaust system, dimensions and component positioning are equally important.
A clean weld does not solve an incorrect hanger position or flange angle.
Fitment
Fitment is one of the most important issues for aftermarket exhaust products.
Depending on the product, we check critical points such as:

MOQ, Samples and Production Lead Time
There is no practical single MOQ for every exhaust product.
A muffler, downpipe and complete cat-back system have different production requirements. An existing product also has different requirements from a completely new development project.
For this reason, we confirm MOQ after reviewing the actual product and expected order quantity.
Samples can be produced for suitable projects.
We manufacture to order rather than keeping every exhaust application as finished stock, so an existing product sample may still require production time.
For many regular products, our normal production lead time is approximately 35 working days after order confirmation and deposit. New products requiring development, fixtures or tooling may take longer.
